"Morality, in the field of knowledge, is the sincere
desire to know the
object in question in a true way, beyond our
attachment to our own
opinions or those inculcated upon us."

MEETINGS AT
THE CROSSROADS
Face to face with...
Fr. Luigi Giussani
1922 - 2005

WHY THIS SERIES

We believe that the
reaffirmation of the positive
value of reality, and
especially of the human
person, is crucial to any
attempt to do educative and
cultural work at this point in
time. Speaking of
education and culture, if we
had to mention a single
source of inspiration and a
guide to our initiative, that
would certainly be Msgr.
Giussani, the great Italian
priest, educator and
theologian, founder of
Communion and
Liberation, who passed
away February 22, 2005.
Throughout his ministry,
Msgr. Giussani always
emphasized that a lived
faith must necessarily
generate a new culture,
which implies both a
capacity for a critical
knowledge of reality and
the appreciation for what is
true and beautiful. Hence, it
seemed particularly fitting
to insert in our program
this series of seminars
aimed at presenting to the
New York public a broad
outline of Msgr. Giussani's
thought as contained in his
major trilogy of books,
which has been available
in English for a few years.
A place where roads meet. A time of change
